The eco-workshop “Second Life of Objects” was successfully held in Bitola, demonstrating that sustainability begins with the small, everyday choices we make.

Through practical and creative work, participants explored how old and unused materials can gain new function and value.

When Waste Becomes a Resource

Using wool, plastic, wood, cardboard, and textiles, participants created unique and functional items. The process was not only creative but also educational – encouraging reuse, waste reduction, and a more responsible approach toward the environment.

The workshop proved that waste does not have to end up as something unnecessary; it can become a valuable resource when used with ideas, knowledge, and inspiration.

Inclusion and Community Spirit

The activity brought together young people, adults, and persons with disabilities, contributing to an inclusive and supportive environment. The atmosphere was filled with collaboration, creativity, and a strong sense of community – values just as important as the final products created.

The workshop was implemented by Marija Misirlievska Mijoska, with mentoring support from Simona Joveska.

💚 Small ideas create big changes – starting from the everyday objects around us.

This activity is part of the project “ZZZ – Together for Green Advocacy for Environmental Protection”, funded by the Embassy of Switzerland in North Macedonia through the Civica Mobilitas program, and implemented by the Youth Activism Center KRIK, Center for Social Initiatives “Nadez”, and the Association of Social Workers of Macedonia – ZSRM.
