In North Macedonia, green activities and sustainable development are best achieved through collaborative efforts. A total of 18 agencies will work together with the new United Nations Collaboration Framework for Sustainable Development (Collaboration Framework) over the next five years. The goal is to assist the country in achieving 17 interconnected and ambitious sustainable development goals. These goals address major development challenges such as poverty, education, economy, climate change, and justice. The Collaboration Framework is a strategic document aligned with national priorities and the 2030 Agenda.
Through the Joint Collaboration Framework for Sustainable Development 2021-2025, the UN family in the country closely collaborates with the Government and all other stakeholders to advance sustainable development, including youth. Youth play a crucial role in these collaborative activities. They are creators of ideas, innovators, and promoters of sustainable practices.
Collaborative activities and sustainable development are not solely the responsibility of government institutions or international organizations. They are the responsibility of all citizens, the business sector, the academic community, and civil society. Only through collaboration and joint efforts can we achieve sustainable development and improve the living conditions of people in North Macedonia.
