On 15 and 16 September 2026, the training for the second group of caregivers was held, completing the training cycle as part of the “Together for Green Advocacy – ZZZ” project.
The trainings were organized in two separate groups to enable all caregivers to participate while ensuring continuous and uninterrupted support for service users in KRIK’s residential units.
🌱 How can green social work become part of everyday life?
This very question was at the heart of the training!
Through theoretical and practical work, participants were introduced to approaches for incorporating green activities into care and support, with a focus on:
✅ Improving the psychosocial well-being of service users.
✅ Developing life skills and everyday habits.
✅ Encouraging active participation and socialization.
✅ Introducing simple green practices, such as working with plants, caring for shared spaces, and outdoor activities.
The goal is for the knowledge gained not to remain only part of the training, but to be translated into concrete activities with users of the supported living service.
With this training, we are strengthening the role of caregivers as important drivers of social inclusion and creating a foundation for introducing new, green approaches into the everyday support of persons with disabilities.
💚 We thank all participants from both groups for their dedication and willingness to learn!
The initiative is part of the project “ZZZ – Together for Green Advocacy for Environmental Protection”, supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in North Macedonia/Swiss Government through Civica Mobilitas, in partnership with CMA KRIK, the Center for Social Initiatives “Nadež”, and the Association of Social Workers of Macedonia – ZSRM.
