On 14 and 15 September 2026, a training was held for the first group of caregivers from CMA KRIK’s supported living service, as part of the project “Together for Green Advocacy – ZZZ”.
What was the focus of the training?
The training focused on introducing the concept of green social work into the everyday care and support of persons with disabilities.
Through a combination of theoretical sessions, practical exercises, and experience-sharing, the caregivers worked on practical methods for working with service users, activities aimed at improving well-being, establishing daily routines, and encouraging the active participation of service users.
Particular emphasis was placed on how simple green practices and activities related to the environment can become part of everyday life in residential units.
The training is the first step towards the practical application of the knowledge gained through activities with service users, focused on developing life skills, socialization, and improving quality of life.
A big thank you to the first group of caregivers for their participation, dedication, and shared experiences!
The initiative is part of the project “ZZZ – Together for Green Advocacy for Environmental Protection”, supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in North Macedonia/Swiss Government through Civica Mobilitas, in partnership with CMA KRIK, the Center for Social Initiatives “Nadež”, and the Association of Social Workers of Macedonia – ZSRM.
