We started 2026 with an official and productive meeting with the Mayor of the Municipality of Negotino, Ms. Marija Naceva, together with mentors for eco-social transformation – Pavlinka Volkanoska, social worker at the Negotino Centre for Social Work, and Aneta Tomeva, social worker and Director of the Centre for Social Work in Probishtip.

Following the successful completion of the training “Green Advocacy through Green Social and Youth Work”, the two mentors were selected to design and implement two local initiatives in the Vardar Region. These initiatives aim to promote sustainability, strengthen community resilience, and improve the quality of life at the local level.

Representatives of the Association of Social Workers of North Macedonia and the Center for Social Initiatives “Nadez” presented the planned project activities, with a strong focus on green initiatives contributing to healthier environments and sustainable local development.

The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Municipality of Negotino and the partner organizations, establishing a strong foundation for continued collaboration and joint action.

This activity is part of the project “ZZZ – Together for Green Advocacy for Environmental Protection”, supported by the Government of Switzerland through the Civica Mobilitas programme, and implemented by CYA KRIK, Center for Social Initiatives “Nadez”, and the Association of Social Workers of North Macedonia.
