Day One – Laying the Foundations
The training began with an introductory session and creative ice-breaking exercises. Thematic sessions followed, focusing on the importance of environmental protection, legal aspects related to ecology, and basic concepts in social protection. The first day emphasized building a shared understanding of the links between ecology and social development.
Day Two – Linking Social Justice and Ecology
Through thematic workshops and simulation exercises, participants explored the role of social and youth work in addressing environmental challenges. Special attention was given to the concept of social justice and the use of tools for analyzing community issues and needs in order to develop evidence-based advocacy strategies.
Day Three – Planning Concrete Initiatives
The final day focused on the advocacy process: from setting objectives and mapping stakeholders, to developing strategies and communication plans. Participants worked on drafting plans for local green initiatives, emphasizing effectiveness, resource mobilization, and sustainability of their actions.
The training concluded with a group evaluation and a shared commitment to continued collaboration within the project, which seeks to embed the “green perspective” as an integral part of professional social and youth work – aiming to enhance environmental protection and build inclusive societies.
The project “ZZZ – Together for Green Advocacy for Environmental Protection” is supported by the Government of Switzerland through the Civica Mobilitas program, in partnership with the Center for Youth Activism KRIK, the Center for Social Initiatives “Nadez,” and the Association of Social Workers of Macedonia – ZSRM.
